Clearing my Plate

Life has been hectic.

I mean really hectic.

So hectic, I forgot that I signed up for a marathon that is in 8 weeks.

Yikes.

Lately, people have been asking me what I am up to. I usually do not have much to say. I do not currently have a traditional job.

That is not to say I have nothing going on.

In fact, I am as busy as I have ever been.

I am finishing my masters degree. I am studying for the LSAT. I volunteer each weekend. I am doing food delivery. I am writing a book.

And oh yeah, I am running a marathon in eight weeks.

But instead of finishing what I have started, I keep looking for more. I search and apply for several jobs a day. I look at paying off my student loan debt. I explore law school options.

I have a lot on my plate.

Then it hit me. Who goes up for seconds with food on their plate? Who begs for more food when they haven't even finished what they have?

It doesn't make any sense, right?

Eat your food. Clear your plate.

Focus on what is in front of you. You are not hungry; you are just bored.
